Opposite Poles...Part 4

“Khushi..!” screamed her buwaji.  Khushi looked at her with tearful eyes.  Her Amma and Babuji came into her room with buwaji.
“Amma… Please… I didn’t do anything.  I went there by mistake…. I didn’t know anything… Please.. Amma, believe me!” she said between sobs.
“Khushi, Tell me, whom were you with?” her buwaji started off again.
“No Buwaji… I .. I went to meet jijaji…!” she said sobbing hard.
“He is not your jijaji…!” screamed her Amma.  Khushi looked hopeless.
“Do you even know, what we went through, Khushi?” asked her Amma painfully.  Khushi gaped at her.
“You went missing, his parents were demanding money… Abhishek did not turn up… Baarat went back…” Her Amma stopped to breath.. “Do you even know what disgrace you brought to us?” she asked her.
“No.. Amma, please…!” Khushi pleaded helplessly.
“How old are you, Khushi?” asked her buwaji sternly…
“E…E  Eighteen… no.. nineteen…!” Khushi couldn’t even tell her age.  She was confused.
“Did you think you could handle it all alone? Did you think we were all dead?”  asked her buwaji.  Khushi’s mouth fell open in shock.  She gaped at her.
“Khushi…!” her babuji intervened finally.   “Garima and Jiji… please leave us alone for some time..!” he urged to his wife and his elder sister.  They both went out.
“Babuji… I .. I thought .. I would go and meet Abhishek jija… I mean .. I thought he would understand….!” She started off weakly.
“I know, Khushi bitiya… I know you went there with good intention… but Bitiya… you should have told me…These are not the matters to be handled by you, Khushi!  It is not good to go alone … in night… You should know, Khushi …. This world is brutal… Tumhe Kuch ho jaataa toh?” he asked her holding her in his arms.  Khushi sobbed …!
“Ok.  Please don’t come out of this room unless I call you! God knows what will happen tomorrow…! Hope no one has seen you in this condition…!” he feared the worst.  Khushi shuddered again feeling the bone crushing grip on her shoulder and the brown piercing eyes.
“Babuji..” She started off weakly..
“No Khushi.. Stop! Let us not discuss it now! .. have some rest!” he said and went out closing her door behind.  Khushi turned into a statue.
*************   ***********   **********
“Get me those tapes … you understand? I want those tapes…!” Sham was ordering someone on phone.
“Which tapes?” asked Anjali from behind and Sham turned startled.
“Umm… Nothing Raani Saheba… Umm tapes … I mean those devotional songs… I had asked to burn on the tapes for you Raani Saheba…!” he said slyly putting his arm around her shoulder.  She smiled lovingly.  He took a sigh.
“Di…! I am going out!” Arnav was at the door.
“At this hour Chote?” his Di looked at the watch.  He did not answer.
“What happened? Chote? Are you alright?” she asked in a worried tone.
“I am fine, Di!” he said and turned to leave.
“Saale saab… “ Sham called him from behind.  Arnav stopped but did not turn.
“Saale Saab, I know, you are upset..!” he said with concern. Arnav turned and looked at his brother in law.
“I understand, Saale saab… that girl spoilt your major event…. “ he said.  A frightened face flashed before Arnav.  He clenched his fists.
“Saale Saab… if you ask me… you should sue that girl…!” started off his lawyer brother in law.
Arnav stared at sham.  Encouraged by his silence, Sham went ahead.  “You should sue that girl for ruining your show..!”
“Don’t bother! I will handle it!” Arnav said plainly and went out.  Smirk appeared on Sham’s face.
“Chote is very upset…!” Anjali blurted out.
“Hmm… I want him to be upset and make mistakes…!” thought Sham smirking…

***********    ***********    **********
Arnav came out striding down the stair case.   He was walking away in the darkness.  His mind re-running the occurrence of the events, he put his hand in his pocket to find a hair band.   He threw it away in frustration…
He walked into the darkness of the night.  He had reached Ghat of Gomti River.  He looked at the mysterious dark water and turned his back on the river.  He  was again transported back to his childhood and his mother.

“Chote…! Why did you go out in the night in this outpouring rain? The water level is rising.. its dangerous!! ” Asked his mother.  She was clearly upset.  He did not answer.
“I am asking you, chote!” she raised her voice.
“Mamma… he..!” Anjali came in between to defend her younger brother.
“You stay out of this…!” her mother warned her.
“Chote, answer me!” she asked him again.  He did not answer.  The overflowing, flooding Gomti river fascinated him.  He loved to see the roaring river!! The river which otherwise looked like his mother, kind and calm.. now looked like his father.. aggressive and destructive..!!
“Arnav..!” his mother hugged him helplessly with tearful eyes.
“Please… don’t do this.. ! you are the only one for me..!” she sobbed.
“Mom…!I know!” he already had assumed the responsibility of his mother and his sister.

He heard a rustling sound and came out of trance with a thud.  He felt a cold, wet feeling on his fingers.  He looked down.  A stray dog was sniffing his hand.  He inadvertently patted the dog  and walked up the Ghat.  The dog followed wagging its tail.
He saw the illuminated Sheesh Mahel and stood there mesmerized with its beauty and grandeur.  The dog stopped too.
“Shhhuuu!” he tried to shoo away the dog but it did not move.  He sat down and stroked its head.  It wagged its tail furiously…!  He smiled.  “Want some food?” he asked.  The dog licked his hand.
He came back to the hotel.. asked the manager to arrange for bread.  The dog waited patiently outside.  He came out again and fed the dog.
“Now, go back!” he said and turned away.  The dog followed.  A security guard came and shooed away the dog.

He started moving towards his  room and a frightful, beautiful eyes flashed before him.  He clenched his fists….
“Sue her? I will do more than that..!” he was determined.  She ruined my show, I will ruin her!  He thought with hatred.  He took out the phone.
“Aman… release the tapes…!” he ordered.

Khushi had slept off on the floor in her room, oblivious to the storm coming her way, the next day…!

“Khushi…!” Buwaji was knocking the door.  Khushi woke up with a start.  She shuddered hearing buwaji’s voice.
“Haan coming..!” she said and opened the door.  She came in and kept the tea cup on the table.
“Come on… have tea!” she said softly.  She looked at Khushi’s reddened cheek with finger marks.  She came and pulled Khushi closer.
“Aree Sanaka devi… why do you do this?” she had tears in her eyes.
“What did I do buwaji? I was just trying to help..” Khushi asked in a small voice.  Buwaji shook her head hopelessly.
A Call for prayer, Azaan,  from near-by mosque had started.  Khushi looked around.  “Mazaar..!” she blurted and ran towards bathroom.  When she came out all three elders were standing in her way.
“Khushi, no! you are not going anywhere!” said her Amma.
“But Amma, I am going to mazaar for Mannat! I just want to pray, tie a lock and come back!” she pleaded.
Her buwaji dragged her into her room and said.  “You are not going anywhere! We have had enough already!” She locked her up in the room and went away.

Khushi paced the room restlessly.  “No… I should first go to the temple, to talk to Devi mayya, then go to Mazaar to tie the lock … I must do this for Jiji…!” she muttered.  She had made up her mind.  She took her bag, stuffed the crumpled coat in it, hung it across her shoulder and came to the closed window…!
“Khidki ji…! I have to do this!” she talked to the window to take its permission to jump out.
She did.  She jumped out of the window 10 feet down in the back yard and “Agrrra! “ she yelled in disgust.  She had jumped on cow dung.
“Aap ko bhi yehi pe girana tha? “ she talked to the cow dung blaming it for spoiling her mood.  She tiptoed to the bucket and poured water on her foot cleaning the dirt.
She ran past the backyard, jumped over the fence and was out on the street.

The prayer in the mosque was over.  She ran towards Mandir. She entered the premises.  “I have to hurry up.  I must reach home before anyone knows ..!” she removed her chappal and climbed the stairs..
“Areee… dhyan se… be careful “ she screamed and ran forward to support a lady who was limping and had lost her balance on the stairs.
“Chaliye… I will help you!” Khushi took Aarti Thal from that lady and held her hand to support her.  The beautiful lady smiled at Khushi.
Khushi started off.  “You know… the morning Aarti is very famous here… the flower decorations.. the conch sounds, the ringing bells… everything is so divine… and Devi mayya?  She is the best… She listens to everyone…! She will listen to me also today…! And why not? After all, she is my friend…!” Khushi’s nonstop chattering brought smile on the Lady’s face.
“You know? There is Mazaar just behind this temple .. when you cross the small patch of woods…! Moula grants you wish there…!” she went on.
“Yes, I know and I will be going there too!” said the lady.  “And I am Anjali!” she introduced herself.
“Yeah? And I am Khushi..!” they were in the Mandir.  “I got to hurry! I have to reach home..! you take care!” Khushi went ahead to talk to her Devi mayya…! Anjali had a broad smile on her face.
Khushi started descending the stairs of the mandir after talking to her devi mayya and telling her to set right everything.

She stopped midway!  “You? Early morning?” she looked down with mock anger.  The dog wagged its tail.
“Kutte ji… Mr. Dog..! Don’t you have any other work than to follow me?” she asked the dog and patted on its head.
“Now .. out of my way! I need to go home as early as possible…! Will talk to you later! ” she said to that dog and ran out of the Mandir complex.  The dog followed wagging its tail.

Opposite Poles...Part 3

Arnav came out of the room and was bombarded with the questions.
“What happened in the room, Sir? Could you get the name?”
“Who was that girl?”
“What is your relationship with that girl?”
“Did you know her before?” asked the reporters.  Arnav gave a stern look at the crowd and made his way out ignoring all the questions. Security guards kept the reporters at bay.
“Sevurity! Yeh sab clean karo..! Clean this mess up! ” he ordered looking at the torn dupatta , an earring and some pearls scattered on the floor!”
It seemed the entire Fashion show turned into a fiasco.  Lurking reporters were more interested in this spoiler story rather than the actual fashion show.  Arnav clenched his fists.
“What the hell! She has spoilt everything… I “ his anger and vengeance took over.  He dialed his assistant’s number.  “Aman, nothing should leak out.  No press release unless I moderate it!” he ordered.   He came back to his hotel room.  His Di was waiting for him.
“Chote…! How was the show?” she asked in excitement.  He stared at her blankly.
“Chote…!” she placed her hand on his shoulder.
“Good!” he gave a curt answer and went away.  She looked confused.
“Chote, what happened? Why are you so upset?” she asked concerned.
“Nothing Di! Everything is fine!” he said looking straight.
“Chote…!” she opened her mouth.
“Di Please… leave me alone for some time!” he said turning his back on her.

******  ***************
Khushi ran out in the darkness and when she sensed that no one was following her, stopped.  She turned to look at Sheesh Mahel …..! Hatred took over.
“Samajhata kya hai woh apane aap ko? Who the hell he thinks of himself!” she muttered angrily flaring up her nose and inadvertently running her fingers on the coat she wore.   “I will not leave him like that! He tried to lock me up! What did he think he was doing? “ She went out of control in anger.  She kick started her  scooter and raced away from the venue.
She reached home, to find deserted Mantap… All the guests had returned.   The fairy lights were put off.  The decorations were pulled off. Deadly silence prevailed everywhere.
“Amma? Babuji? …. Jiji?” she called out scared to the core.  Only her voice echoed back.
“Amma?” she raised her voice moving from room to room…!
She saw her Jiji removing her jewelry…! She had already changed into her normal attire.  Her Amma, Babuji and buwaji were looking at her helplessly.
“Amma!” Khushi was at the threshold of the room.
“Khushi….!” Her babuji called out helplessly.  Her Amma came forward and slapped her square in the face.  The sound echoed in her ear.
“Maine kahan tha na? Unse milane mat jaana! Kyun gai tum? I had warned you not to go! Why did you go Khushi?” her Amma had lost control.  She slapped Khushi again and again.  Her babuji tried to shield Khushi but her Amma had gripped Khushi tightly.
“Amma….!” Khushi started off weakly.
“What Khushi? You ruined everything… who had asked you to go there? Why did you do this Khushi? “ Asked her Amma.
“What difference does it make to her, Garima?” asked her Buwaji calling her Amma.
“After all she is not your blood.  Why would she care for your honor?” whipped her buwaji…!
“Buwaji…!” Khushi  looked crestfallen.  “Buwaji.. please don’t say that!” she pleaded crumpling on the floor in a heap.  Her buwaji took out all her anger on Khushi.
“I had told you, Garima.. This girl will bring only disgrace to the family! She is the bad omen… ! Apane maa baap ko to pahele se hi khaa chuki hai! She was the reason for her parents’ death! ”
“Jiji.. Please …Stop!” Garima held buwaji’s hand to stop her from doing further damage.
“Khushi, maine kasam di thi na? why did you break the promise?” asked her Amma.
“Nahi Amma! Please, listen to me! They demanded dowry last minute… ! how was that possible Amma? We already have mortgaged this house… I thought Abhishek Jijaji will understand and convince his parents…!” Khushi tried to justify.
“He is not Abhishek Jijaji, Khushi… the marriage is called off!” came a hollow, empty voice of Payal…!
Khushi ran forward to her Jiji…”Jiji… I am sorry… Jiji!” she couldn’t stop crying.  But her jiji had no tears in her eyes.
“Stop it Khushi… its over!” she said blankly.
“No! Jiji….!” Khushi couldn’t continue. She sat there embracing her jiji for a while and then got up suddenly, she got a slap again from her buwaji…!
“Where were you, Khusi?” she asked stunned Khushi.
“Tell me, where were you all this time? With whom?” she pulled Khushi up gripping her shoulder.  Khushi stood there shaking from head to toe.
“And what is this you are wearing…! Where is your dupatta?’ buwaji asked her narrowing her eyes in suspicion.  Khushi had no answer.   The memory of grip of the person with brown piercing eyes made her wince.
“Khushi, batao… Kahan muah Kaala karake aai ho? What have you done to yourself?“ Buwaji was screaming at the top of her voice.  Khushi looked helplessly at her babuji.
“Dekho Shashi, look at this girl! Kahi jaay ke.. Khch kar  ke aai hain!” Buwaji started off again.  Khushi took out her coat immediately and repented having done that.  A deep scratch on her arm was bleeding.
“Khushi, bata? Who did this?” her babuji was holding her.  She trembled,  thinking about the trauma and feeling the grip on her shoulder again.
“Umm… Babuji… Hum galati se wahaan chale gaye…! I went there by mistake..!”  She said looking down.
“Where? Where did you go Khushi…?” her Amma had flared up again in rage.
“Amma… woh… Fa… Fa..!” Khushi stuttered.
“Fa? Fa what?” her buwaji screamed.  “Fashion show!” came hurried answer.
“What?” her babuji glared at her.
“No.. Babuji… please…!” she held his hand.
“Stop it Khushi…! I never thought you would do this?  As if, this humiliation was not enough…!” He turned his back on Khushi banging  fist on his forehead.
“You..?  You went for the fashion show? Why? To earn money?” Buwaji went out of control in anger.  She shook Khushi vigorously.
“No.. Babuji.. I did not do anything…!” she was all lost, had no justification for her deeds.
“Enough Khushi…! Go to your room!” ordered her Amma.

****************   ********************
“She spoiled the entire show! I should find out!....” he paced his room restlessly.
“How did she enter the green room?” he wondered.  He had never failed in his security arrangements.  He turned away in frustration.
“Damn it!” he banged his fist on the table.   His eyes spat anger,  when her frightened face flashed before him…!
“You destroyed me show…. Now face the music!” he took out his phone.
He was all set to destroy her completely…..!
***********   ************
“I will not leave him! He did this…! That.. that monster…! I…I will hunt him down…!” Khushi threw the coat in the corner…!
Smile appeared on her face… “I know… I know what to do…! You.. you.. whoever…! I will show you who am I..!” she joined her hands looking up in the sky.
“Hey devi  mayya! Shakti dena! Oh God! Give me strength…! Use ek baar phir se milana…! I will show him his place!”  She prayed closing her eyes.
Her room door opened with a bang.  Her buwaji was at the door with furious face.  Khushi shrunk.  She knew what was coming…!

***********     **************     ***********
“Raani Saheba…! Don’t worry! He is little upset…Everything will be fine!” Sham, Anjali Di’s husband was consoling her.  He had narrated the whole incidence to her and looking at her worried face said…
“Raani Saheba.. I will handle it.  Don’t worry!” he stroked her head pulling her closer.   She rested her head on her shoulder and closed her eyes.  She knew her husband will handle the situation properly.  Smirk appeared on Sham’s face.  He knew exactly what to do.
He came out of the room and dialed a number.  “Hame saari Janakaari chahiye… juld se juld!  I want all the information ASAP! Understood?” he disconnected and turned to see his Brother in Law, Arnav Singh Raizada staring at him.
“Saale Saab, don’t worry!” he placed his hand on Arnav’s shoulder.
“I don’t care!” Arnav turned away.  Sham smirked.
“Saale saab, forget about her…!!” Sham knew how to put oil in the already burning fire.
The image of a fragile girl with frightened light green eyes flashed !  Arnav winced in hatred.  Clenching his fist he said under his breath…
“I will hunt you down….!”

Opposite poles.. part 2

“Isse rokiye! Stop her!” screamed Amma.  Khushi was pacing furiously muttering and swearing…!
“Khushi.. Stop!” her Amma stopped her.
“How can they do this Amma?” She yelled.  Payal, her cousin was sitting there helplessly in her wedding dress.
“Stop her!” her Amma pleaded Babuji.  Babuji intervened…
“Khushi bitiya… Suno…!” he tried to convince her but Khushi had gone beyond listening to anyone.
“But babuji, demanding dowry is a crime!” she screamed.  “I am going to go and ask them!” she took a step out of the room.
“No! Khushi! For God’s sake stop!” her amma yelled.
“It’s a custom, Khushi! We can’t go against it!” her babuji urged.
“No way…! “ Khushi did not listen.
“Khushi, tumhe meri kasam! Khabardar, jo ghar ke baahar ek kadam bhi rakha to….!” her amma stopped her.  Khushi looked back.  She was smoldering.
“Khushi.. no! let me handle it!” her babuji brought her back into the room.  She looked at Payal who had never stopped crying.
“I have to do something… I just can’t sit here like this…!” Khushi thought resolutely.  She sneaked out of the house in her festive dress….
“This is not done.. I have to talk to the groom..!” she was muttering while riding her scooter.  She took a right turn and looked at the address note stopping round the corner.   Looking around, her gaze fixed on the towering building of Sheesh Mahel.
“This is the one! They want to stay in posh five star hotel and on top of it demand additional dowry…! This is not done! “ She parked her vehicle….and barged into the building...!

“Abhishek Malhotra…!” she demanded coming to the receptionist.   A gust of wind blue her hair back.  She felt weak and vision went hazy..! someone had entered the hotel…!  She turned in slow motion.  Nothing! There was no one.  She touched her cheek puzzled.
“What was that?” she looked around and she saw him… She saw Abhishek… her Jiji’s would be husband sneaking out of the hotel alone.
“Jijaji….!” She called out from behind and followed him.  He had vanished in the dark.
“Where did he go?” she came out looking around.  She saw the grandeur of the illuminated building…! Cheers and applauds could be heard.  She walked passed the corridors of the left wing….!
“Sheesh Mahel!” she blurted and kept walking.  There he was… opening the door … and sneaking in like a thief.
“Jijaji…!” she hissed under her breath.  “Where is he going now? My jiji is waiting… Baarat is waiting for him… his parents are demanding another ten lacs from my babuji… and this person is roaming around …. Like..like an idiot…!” she barged behind him muttering loudly.
“Jijaji…!” she opened one door…! It was dark inside…A guard came running… she closed the door again. And ran towards another door… she opened it…
“Abhishek jijaji must be here in..!” she said and entered the room… Someone pulled her inside and closed the door behind.  She was shocked when someone threw a torch light on her face.  She was blinded.
“Hey… who are you?” A girl in short red dress asked her…
“Umm… Jijaji… I mean he is in there!” she tried to walk past the girl but was pulled back.
“Shut up and get out!” she was ordered.
“No way…!” she resisted.   She barged forward in that darkness… and suddenly spot light illuminated her figure.   She shuddered and ran back breathing heavily.  She turned to look and saw a stage… now illuminated with flood lights and a ramp upto the middle of the hall.   She was backstage.  Someone tried to pull her.
She peeped from the wing….! She could see him… he was moving towards the crowd near the ramp.  She was surprised to look at him.
The models started walking the runway and her anger mounted the peak.   Her would be jijaji.. Abhishek, for whom her jiji was waiting hopefully… was looking at those models in shortest clothes, with lustful eyes with his jaw falling down and his eyes popping out!!
“Arggg! How could he do this? His parents are hell bent on calling off the marriage and he is enjoying the fashion show here.  She was mad, furious and her temper went out of control.   Forgetting everything she barged on the ramp and started striding towards Abhishek.  The sequence was broken… there was awkward murmur in the crowd… restlessness grew… and she stumbled… on the ramp taking a free fall.

Someone held her in strong arms… she closed her eyes tightly …. She was not on the floor but was lifted in mid air.  She opened her eyes to meet another pair of brown eyes….!  A gust of wind blew the strands of her hair from her forehead.
Two brown eyes were glaring at her angrily.  A stiff muscular arms gripping her tightly, she could feel the temper….!  She tried to break free…!
He almost threw her down.  She somehow gained her balance and stood trembling.  She looked around and saw her jijaji again sneaking out of the hall…!
Jijaji… she cried out trying to run behind him…. But her jijaji was already out of ear shot.
“Lock her up!” someone ordered.   The security’s strong hands fell upon her.  She jerked and looked around.
“Lock me up? Will you?” she pushed the security with all her might and barged out of the hall.
Someone held her from behind.  “Oh yes, I will!” came a deadly voice and she froze.  She turned around to see the same man holding her wrist in a bone crushing grip.  She tried to break free!
“Chodiye…! Leave me!” she said wincing in pain.
“Not until you answer my questions…!” came a stern voice.  He dragged her along, her dupatta falling under his feet he crushed it under his heels and took her aside.
“Who sent you?” he asked.  She looked at him in fright.   He was almost six feet tall with very stern looking face and brown suit.   His eyes reflected loathing…hatred..!
“Answer me!” he yelled gripping her shoulder and shaking her vigorously.
“Babuji….!” She said stuttering.
“What?” he loosened his grip a bit.
“Jijaji… I came to meet jijaji…!” she said in a weak tone.
“What?” he had lost his grip…  She broke free and bending down tried to pick up her dupatta.
He gripped her again and dragged her to a room.
“Who  is babuji? Why did he send you to spoil my show?” he asked her angrily.
“Your show? No! I came here in search of my jijaji.   Its my jiji’s wedding tonight…! His parents are asking for more dowry…! And I saw my jijaji here gaping at the models… ” she went on when she got a chance.  He could not assimilate anything, kept gaping at her.
“And you are talking about your show? Do you even know what my Jiji’s condition is?” she came on to him angrily.  He took a step back for a fraction of second and then erupted like a volcano.
“What the hell? You came here for your dowry money? Who gave you the money to spoil my show?” he gripped her shoulders again.  Tears trickled down her cheek in pain.
“Shhh you are hurting me!” she said clearly in pain.
“So did you! I will not leave you until you tell me who sent you!” his grip was tightened.
She had a fierce look on her face…
“Sent me? Who sent me? Don’t you understand? I came in search of my jijaji!” she said raising her tone.
“Mind your tone…!” he threatened her.  She could see a monster in his eyes.  She shuddered.  Shade of fear appeared in her light green eyes.  He was staring at her unblemished beautiful face.
“Leave me…! I need to reach home!” she struggled in vain.
“Tell me! Or stay here….!” He said menacingly .. Pain and hurt appeared in her eyes…
“Why don’t you understand?” she pleaded with tearful eyes.
“So… you have decided to stay here for the night…!” he said smirking at her helplessness.   He freed her from his grip and took a step back.   She looked at him horror struck when he unbuttoned his coat and removed it.  Throwing it on the nearby chair he came near her.
“Tell me… or be ready for the consequences!” he looked at her from head to toe.  She shrunk… tried to hide herself from his gaze.
He stared at her face… she looked defeated… he was winning… he had trapped her… “Now she will tell me.. who had sent her..!” he thought.
“So?” he asked in a deadly voice.  If voice could kill anyone, his did!  She was almost dead… cornered completely…. !
And then she retaliated like a wild cornered cat… came on to him pushing him will all her might.  He lost his balance and held the table to regain it!
“I am going home!” she declared… looking around for the dupatta which was missing… ! Fear  and embarrassment appeared on her face…. She looked at him thoroughly hurt and the next moment… she had picked up his coat and was wearing it.  A shade of admiration appeared in  his eyes…! He had never seen a girl like her before, being in fashion world…!
She opened the door and was blinded with flashes of cameras… Reporters with cameras had gathered outside the room trying for some sensational scoop…!
She dashed towards the main door and vanished in the darkness of the night….!
Another pair of poppy, dark lustful eyes were watching her hungrily.....!
